A crock-pot is a great investment to make. All you have to do is toss the ingredients in let it work it’s magic. One of my favorite brands of soup mix is Wyler’s Mrs. Grass Hearty Soup Mix. All you have to do is add meat and it is delicious and tastes homemade. My crock-pot allows me to set a timer for how long to cook things and then it switches from “cook” to “warm” on its own.
One package of soup (retails for about $3.99) plus one package of cubed stew beef.
Toss both ingredients into the crock pot.
This is what it looks like after you add 8 cups of water.
LET THE CROCK POT WORK ITS MAGIC FOR 3 to 4 HOURS. I DID 4 HOURS.
Dinner is served! It reheats very well too!
One of the things that I’m really addicted to is sugar. I use it in almost everything. I was taught that anything brown is good for you and I thought that applied to sugar but it doesn’t!
Brown sugar is simply white sugar with molasses added. Nutritionally, it is basically the same as white sugar. Honey also has the same amount of sugar as both white & brown sugar and is not necessarily better. Natural sweeteners – like the kind you find in fruits is good/okay for your diet. So as I look for a healthier way to sweeten my oatmeal, I’m going to try to add fruit and decrease my intake of processed sugar.
