Love is in the Air

A few weeks ago I shared my design ideas for Valentine’s Day. You can click here to check out the inspiration:

Here is my final result:

I love the Apothecary jars, because they can be used all year. All you have to do is change out the filling. For this year I had some foam glitter 3D hearts, some red, white and clear glass marbles and two form “love birds.” I also went to Hobby Lobby to pick up some special frames – a red leather frame and  a white leather frame. Next year I plan to get a Valentine’s Day Wreath (or I may wait until the sales and pick up one later this week for next year).

Normally I buy really nice Valentine’s Cards (always Hallmark of course). This year I decided to make a Valentine’s Card for my husband. In the card I highlighted all of the “firsts” I experienced with him and I incorporated lyrics from one of our favorite songs, “Very Special” by Debra Laws. Making this card was a huge deal for me because I am really a scrapbooker. I don’t really do cardmaking. Here is the card:

Finally, you have to express a little self-love every now and then. Plus, I’m milking this last year of my 20s for all it’s worth.
