I’m a huge fan of Beyonce and always have been since I discovered her as a pre-teen. I’ll never forget Destiny Child’s breakout single “No, No, No,” – the slow version. As she grew up, I grew up. She’s 3 years older than me. What I’ve always admired about Beyonce is her incredible work ethic, her humility and her reflective attitude. I also love the fact that she married Jay-Z and the two have amassed so much wealth (a combined $162 million) – Beyonce as an entertainer (+ the Dereon brand, her heat perfume and her endorsement deal with L’Oreal) and Jay-Z as an entertainer (plus Roca Wear, sports team ownership and club ownership). I’m a bit of a voyeur so I was super inspired by her mini-documentary that aired on MTV called “The Year of 4” and wanted to share it with you:
P.S. Don’t act like I’m the only one who tries to do the dances. I mastered a part of “Single Ladies” and love the shoulder shake move and the foot work in “Run The World.” I love it even more now that I know that the dancers are from Mozambique! Go Africa!
