True Story…

“I think I need a cup of tea…”

Maybe it is the curse of being 20-something or the “undetached” side of my zodiac, but every few months (lately it has been every other month) – I have an intense desire to make changes. It usually results in purging paper, reading self-help books and blogs and feverish brainstorming – list after list of my hopes, my dreams, my ideas.

“Whenever there’s a drought get your umbrellas out because that’s when I brainstorm…”

1. I need to work out more… at first I was doing 1 hour a day then it slipped to every other day. I haven’t worked out at all for the last week. Thankfully I didn’t gain the weight back, but now I’m looking to start doing 30 minutes in the a.m. and 30 minutes in the evening at least every other day.

2. I need to write more… trying to update the blog daily. Keep my newsletter “The Weekly W.E.L.L.” going.  In January I went from 8 to 22 subscriptions… WOOT!

3. I need to plan a vacation… my significant other and I need some time away from Chicago on a beach. I’m thinking the islands or Hawaii before the end of this year.

4. I need to be consistent… there is a reason why I chose that as my “one little word” for 2011. I’m always changing something. I need to start things, follow through and finish.

So there you have it… a little mid-day brain dump. New post coming soon. Thanks for listening.

One response to “True Story…

  1. I have to say that I have had the same feeling. What I have learned is when it come embrace it, take it as your own and love it. Its a sign of rebirth, there isn’t just one your know. Ok there is one big one and then you have small ones. LOL (got off track) I love how you are mapping out all that you want to do, it is inspiring. I have brain storms daily ( i carry a small journal for this purpose) its’ freeing and i think the type of people that we are, we need that daily dump. SO my suggestion also is not just to focus on writing something “MEANINGFUL” DAILY… but have a daily dump, sometimes i just draw faces and let me mind be free. I think this was way off topic, but i guess it was needed…..
