Reverb 10 – Stretching & Structure

Prompt: One Word. Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?

My “one word” for 2010 would be S    T    R    E    T   C    H    E    D

I was mentally, emotionally, spiritually, personally and professionally pulled in many different directions.

At times my “limbs” were being pulled to their limits.

At other times I was willingly extending myself.

But the beautiful thing about stretching, whether willingly or by force is that it makes you more limber; more capable of handling

pressure and being able to be agile or flexible.

My word for 2011 is S T R U C T U R E.

In 2011 I want to build and solidify certain things in my personal and professional life.

I’m the “queen” of remodeling and reinventing the wheel… I’d like to find some “best practices” and stick with those.

In order to create structure I have to be more consistent and relentless.

I have to spend more time planning and creating “blueprints.”

I invite you to pick up a brick and grab some mortar… let’s build!

  1. Love it and soo feel you on structure. We have best practices in teaching, why not in other areas of our lives🙂

    • Yeah, that’s kind of where I was going with that. I plan to spend a lot of time trying to figure out those best practices in the other areas of my life. Going to do a lot of reading and reflecting… I love you bsf!

  2. Yes – structure is such an important thing! Especially when you feel like you’re being pulled in a zillion different directions. Here’s to lots of productive structure in the new year!
