One of the things that I’m really addicted to is sugar. I use it in almost everything. I was taught that anything brown is good for you and I thought that applied to sugar but it doesn’t!
Brown sugar is simply white sugar with molasses added. Nutritionally, it is basically the same as white sugar. Honey also has the same amount of sugar as both white & brown sugar and is not necessarily better. Natural sweeteners – like the kind you find in fruits is good/okay for your diet. So as I look for a healthier way to sweeten my oatmeal, I’m going to try to add fruit and decrease my intake of processed sugar.
